Caring for amphibians, when people first began looking after them, little to nothing was known about their care, hence resulting in many captive deaths. Knowledge drawn from trial and error has been posted on the net, and now there are many caresheets out there, ranging from raising elephants to creating an ant coloney. The Yellow Spotted Salamanderis a beutiful amphibian rarely seen out of its breeding season, and it just so happens that I caught mine out of the breeding season. Laws prohid the sale of this salamander in the provinces/states that it naturally lives in, and I'm not sure if its availible on the pet trade in other places. In Canada the salamander occupies the Martime provinces and Ontario and Quebec.

My Background

I might also use this page to describe my own personal history regarding my hobby. For example, if I'm describing boatbuilding, I might mention how I first became interested in boats and how I acquired my skill.
