What to do in an emergency...here's a few of mosst commonly encountered in captive care.

Help! My salamander won't eat!

This could be from the stress of change in enviroment. Give him one to three days to get used to the new enviroment. If you've been feeding them for a while without any problems from changing/varying the diet. If youre feeding with supplements try taking off the supplements/trying a new type of supplement (make sure the bottle says it's ok for amphibians.) Anything else..I'm interested. Where can I get a salamander?

If spotted salamanders are native to your province/state, they cannot legally be sold on the pet trade. Try finding them in the wild. How to do this is made simpler in other parts of this site.

Any other problems you've encountered in captive care with ANY salamander please e-mail me at moronman25@hotmail.com.
